La La Anthony Says She Wants to Keep Next Relationship 'Private,' Teases 'Soft Launch'

The media personality gave her TikTok followers a "little peek" at her current beau.

La La Anthony is taking her time going public with her first relationship since her divorce from retired NBA player Carmelo Anthony.

The media personality and actress, who divorced her now-ex-husband in 2021 after 11 years of marriage, was a guest on the Thursday (July 31) episode of Complex's 360 With Speedy.

Around the 15-minute mark of the interview, Anthony was asked about her dating life, and she insisted that she likes to keep her relationships under wraps.

"I think it's good to keep things private until you feel like you're ready for the
world to know about it," she told host Speedy Morman. "I feel like anytime the world gets involved too early, that's when things get messy and messed up."

The BMF star advised viewers to trust their guts when it comes to dating.

"And a lot of times we get so excited when we meet somebody that it's like, 'I want to post. I want the world to know I'm so into this,'" she continued. "Then the comments come and the phone calls and and then you're like, 'This just doesn't feel as good as it did when we were keeping it private.'"

She added, "So, I think keep it private 'til you feel sure, and also 'til you're ready to deal with everything that comes with it and then pop out."

Speedy then brought up a TikTok that Anthony posted earlier this month, which showed her humorously trying to tug a man into the frame. By the looks of it, Anthony might soon introduce fans to her new boyfriend.

"So sometimes it's nice to tease certain things. So sometimes it's nice
to [give] just a little peek, but not too much," Anthony said.

Anthony laughed off Speedy's suggestion that the TikTok was a "soft launch" and called her time with the mystery man "fun."

"It's fun to see how invested people are into it," Anthony said. "I guess I never really feel like people care that much, but then you're like, 'Oh, no. They care. They want to know.'"

The actress explained that her father met his wife on a dating app, but she has been hesitant to join membership-only platform Raya, a favorite among celebrities.

Anthony shares her 18-year-old son, Kiyan Anthony, with Carmelo, and shared on The Breakfast Club in 2022 that she has no interest in getting married again.

"And I’m not knocking anybody who’s married, it didn’t work for me," she said around the 10-minute mark of the video below. "I’m all for anyone it worked for. I feel like marriage at times becomes very much like [a] business thing. And what I found with marriage is easy to get into and harder to get out of when you’re dealing with lawyers and this and that, and it just gets really complicated. I don’t feel like I need that."
