Timothée Chalamet took on hosting and musical guest duties for his third time hosting Saturday Night Live.

During his monologue, Chalamet cracked jokes about award show failures and mocked his "little" goatee.

“This is my third time hosting Saturday Night Live, but the first time hosting it with a little 'stache and a little goatee,” said Chalamet, referencing a joke lobbed his way at the Golden Globes. As the camera zoomed in on his stubble, he announced, "That's 37 hairs right there."

Chalamet then turned his attention to his losses at acting award shows.

“I just keep losing, and each time it gets harder to pretend it doesn’t sting,” he joked. A compilation then appeared on screen showing how disappointed he looks while other actors get their names called.

Later in his monologue, Chalamet spoke about the Bob Dylan songs that he'd be performing in the show. He said didn't choose the late singer's most popular tracks but picked his favorites.

“[SNL is] either really nice for letting me do this or incredibly mean and this is all a big prank,” he said.

Chalamet, introduced by Adam Sandler, then performed Dylan's "Three Angels" and "Outlaw Blues." Later in the show, he performed "Tomorrow is a Long Time" with surprise guest James Blake on keyboard.

On the 30 Rockefeller stage, the star of Dylan biopic A Complete Unknown also invited three look-a-likes. Among the look-a-likes was the winner of the viral Chalamet look-alike contest, Miles Mitchell. The two also met up at the 82nd Golden Globes earlier this month.

While Chalamet's last time hosting SNL was in 2023, the actor made his first appearance in 2020, where he shared that his mother, Nicole Flender, once did background work on the show.
