'Love Island USA' Star JaNa Craig's Friend Drops Bombshell Allegations About Kenny Rodriguez

Love Island USA Season 6 contestants JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez have broken up, and the alleged reason for the split is rooted in betrayal and lies, according to Craig's close friend.

After Craig publicly confirmed on Tuesday that she and Kenny had officially split, her close friend Charmane Smith dropped a startling Instagram Story later that night, hinting that Rodriguez wasn't being honest in the relationship. In her Instagram Story, per TMZ, Smith advised women to check their partners' phones and even provided a list of alarming search terms she claimed could reveal deceit.

She also claimed Rodriguez was involved with Craig "for all the wrong reasons," and accused him of lying about his intentions throughout their relationship, which blossomed during Season 6 of Love Island USA in 2024, where the couple finished in third place.

"My advice for women in relationships: if you have access- go thru your mans phone TODAY," she wrote in her since-deleted Instagram Story. "Search keywords like 'I don't like black women, I thought I would get more money from this, I'm faking this relationship, going on the show would be for clout, I can't wait to be done w this so I can fuck hella b*tches.........' You'll thank me later. P.S- NEVER spare a man.. Dog them out babygirl <3."

Smith's statement comes after Craig shared her own emotional statement on Tuesday, in which she wrote: "Discovering that someone you loved isn't who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn't been genuine since day one has been truly devastating."

In response, Kenny broke his silence with a more subdued response, claiming the relationship was something that ended up not being long-term: "Breakups are never easy, especially in the public eye. Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term."

But Craig wasn't having it as she fired back, calling her newly-minted ex a "manipulative liar" and slamming his refusal to take accountability: "You not taking accountability and telling people the type of person you really are is insane to me!!"
