Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer Perform Pop Medley as Marty and Bobbi Culp for SNL50
SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert took place at Radio City Music Hall and featured numerous stars, including a Lonely Island reunion.
Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer turned into their Saturday Night Live characters, Marty and Bobbi Mohan-Culp, for a hilarious medley of pop hits for the SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert special.
On Friday, Ferrell and Gasteyer took the stage at Radio City Music Hall for a special performance as the Culps teacher duo that had the audience roaring in laughter. The SNL alums opened their set with Gasteyer telling the audience and viewers watching at home to get comfortable as they were going to see a show. Ferrell also mentioned the beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake while hoping the two could find common ground.
"It's actually Valentine's Day. So we invite you all to snuggle under a musical blanket of sensual funk and some mad fresh beats that slap. No cap," Gasteyer as Bobbi told the audience. Ferrell, as Marty, followed that up by saying, "Are Kenny Lamar and Drake Graham in the house? By the way, maybe you two can hug it out tonight in the name of love and fellowship. No? Not in hell. Message received."
Ferrell and Gasteyer went into a rendition of Kendrick's explosive "Not Like Us" diss track and sang the controversial "a minor" line. They also went through Britney Spears's "Work Bitch," Doechii's "Denial Is a River," Chappell Roan's "Good Luck, Babe!," Sam Smith and Kim Petras' "Unholy," Megan Thee Stallion's "Body," and more.
SNL50 also featured a reunion performance by The Lonely Island, who performed their hit song "Dick in a Box" alongside Lady Gaga as well as K Dot's "tv off" track. Other performers included Cher, Jack White, Arcade Fire with St. Vincent and Friends, Eddie Vedder, Bonnie Raitt with Chris Martin, and more.
