50 Cent's Humor & Harmony Weekend: Dave Chappelle, Katt Williams, and More Hit Shreveport for Inaugural Festival
The four-day event proved to be a massive success, leaving 50 at a loss for how to top it in the future.
50 Cent doesn’t know how he’s going to "top this shit" following the conclusion of his four-day Humor & Harmony Weekend festival in Shreveport, Louisiana.
After months of teasing, the decidedly well-attended event kicked off on Aug. 8 with a comedy show at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium, followed by an afterparty at the G-Dome hosted by 50 himself that lasted deep into the wee hours of the morning. 50 and company followed this up with a stacked Friday and Saturday boasting an XXL Freshman Class showcase, a celebrity basketball game, a car show, several more 50-hosted afterparties, and more.
In a series of Instagram updates over the weekend, 50, fresh off a Power legal victory and a Lionsgate deal for a new ad-supported channel, celebrated the event’s undeniable successes, namely its massive turnout. Per 50, he considers this "the biggest event ever" for the area, an assessment that sets the bar quite high for an attempted repeat.
"Now how I’m gonna top this shit?" 50 asked fans. "Give me a minute. I’m thinking."
For now, official info on a possible second iteration of Humor & Harmony hasn’t been announced. But the success of the first seemingly guarantees that 50 will stage something similar in the region soon enough, especially considering the fact that his G-Unit Film & Television company is headquartered in Shreveport these days.
At one point over the weekend, the volume of attendees was high enough to compel local police to issue a statement announcing the closure of the Red River District "due to reaching maximum capacity." Similarly, the G-Dome also hit full-capacity attendance levels, prompting police to urge those in town to "avoid the area."
Below, see a roundup of highlights from the inaugural festival. Among those who performed or otherwise took part in the 2024 edition were Dave Chappelle, Cam’ron, Katt Williams, 2 Chainz, Monica, Muni Long, DaBaby, Master P, Moneybagg Yo, Flo Rida, Keith Sweat, Ray J, Skilla Baby, and French Montana.
