Mo'Nique Jokes That She Told Shannon Sharpe 'Leave Them White Bitches Alone'
The comedian appeared on 'Club Shay Shay' last year.
Mo'Nique joked that she told Shannon Sharpe to “leave them white bitches alone” during a recent tour stop.
In a brief clip making the rounds on social media, the comedian, who appeared on Club Shay Shay in February of last year, mentions Sharpe by name. The exact origin of the clip wasn’t immediately clear, though several reports linked it to a recent stop in South Carolina on the Katt Williams-headlined Heaven on Earth Tour.
The tour also hit Savannah, Georgia this month and will next touch down in Washington D.C. for a three-night run followed by additional stops in Rhode Island, Florida, Texas, and more. Williams, of course, gave Sharpe a blockbuster podcast episode back in January 2024.
“Goddamnit, yes,” Mo'Nique said in the recently surfaced clip. “I told that n***a Shannon Sharpe, leave them white bitches alone.”
In April, news broke that Sharpe had been named in a $50 million lawsuit from a Jane Doe represented by Tony Buzbee. Im the suit, Sharpe is accused of sexual assault and battery. He has denied the allegations, calling the suit “a shakedown” in a video statement shared to Instagram last month.
During her own Sharpe conversation last year, Mo'Nique urged the Broncos alum and First Take panelist to not pursue relationships with women decades younger than him. In light of the lawsuit, the allegations of which stem from a woman said to be over 30 years younger than Sharpe, Mo'Nique’s comments on Club Shay Shay have resurfaced, with Mo'Nique herself also acknowledging the interview’s resurgence.
“You don’t need a 26-year-old girl, you don’t need no 36-year-old girl,” the comedian told Sharpe in 2024. “This is your auntie talking to you. Take your old ass and get you an old bitch out there that can love you old. You trying to hang out with these young bitches. You can’t do it, Shannon. You just can’t do it.”
Sharpe has maintained that the relationship at the center of the lawsuit was “100 percent consensual.” Amid the suit, Sharpe temporarily stepped aside from his ESPN duties, saying in s statement shared to social media that he planned on returning later this year.
