Larsa Pippen Blames 'Allergic Reaction' for Her Face in Viral Photo, Tells Critics to 'Chill Out'

The Real Housewives of Miami's Larsa Pippen is addressing backlash to a recent viral photo of herself and claiming that her face was swollen because of an allergic reaction.

After her appearance on Fox’s Good Night New York, the reality star posted a video reacting to critics who alleged that her face was overfilled.

“OK, so I feel like that photo went viral and I’m wondering if someone edited that,” she explained. “This is what my face looks like, you guys. I’m on TV, so you know what I look like. I just shot a reunion a couple of days ago, so you’ll see what I look like at my reunion.”

She also said she had an injection of platelet-rich plasma, which is a treatment using one's own blood to promote healing and pain reduction.

“I did have PRP,” Pippen explained. “I did have an allergic reaction to the PRP, which I didn’t know you could have, so my face was a bit swollen. But it doesn’t look like that, so keep on hating, guys.”

One critic, aesthetic provider Mai Kaga, brought up the influencer’s appearance in a post on Friday (Aug. 8).

"From excessive facial filler to questionable surgery choices, her transformation is a reminder that not all cosmetic work is good work," Kaga wrote in the caption of her video. "Even with unlimited funds, choosing the right injector matters."

Pippen clapped back in a comment: “Honey, I had PRP and had an allergic reaction, so chill out," she wrote.

In July, Pippen opened up about the status of her friendship with Kim Kardashian, who’s the godmother of her 16-year-old daughter, Sophia.

After explaining that they aren’t friends any longer, Pippen revealed that she doesn’t plan to remove Kardashian as her daughter’s godmother.

"I feel like Sophia has a good relationship with Kim," she said. "They're loving to her, so I feel like I don't want to tarnish that. It's fine."
