Bill Belichick Says Relationship With Jordon Hudson ‘Doesn’t Have Anything to Do With UNC Football'

The 73-year-old UNC coach told SportsCenter the media buzz over his 24-year-old girlfriend won't affect the team.

Bill Belichick insists his relationship with Jordon Hudson is “personal” and has nothing to do with what happens on the field.

In a new interview with SportsCenter, co-host Christine Williamson asked the University of North Carolina coach, “How do you think that that impacts your ability to coach this football team, if at all?”

“I mean, that’s really off to the side. It’s a personal relationship and she doesn’t have anything to do with UNC football,” said Belichick, 73, of his 24-year-old girlfriend.

“I'm excited to be back in the coaches meetings and getting ready for June and then August when we get to training camp. So June will be a big recruiting month for us and then August we'll start getting ready for the season,” he added.

When asked if he spoke to the players regarding what’s been happening off the field, Belichick said, “I talked to the players and when we meet with them when they come in to visit and so forth, sure.”

He continued, “Again, we want to make the players the best that they can be, provide them the best opportunity on and off the field, and that's what we're about at UNC and that's what we're gonna do the best for every single player we have.”

Reports that Hudson was banned from team facilities were denied by the school, with athletic director Bubba Cunningham telling ESPN, “Bill's been great to work with. He talked about practicing like a pro and he runs a professional organization that is teaching students how to be professional in all aspects of their life. He is a very determined, professional individual, and that's the way he carries himself and the way he conducts the program.”

When Cunningham was asked if Hudson’s presence could be a distraction, he replied, “Bill is an incredibly focused person.”

Belichick has been making headlines for his relationship with Hudson, who finished third last week in the Miss Maine beauty competition. The couple had been seen together since 2023 but only confirmed their relationship last June.

During a recent CBS Sunday Morning interview, Hudson interrupted host Tony Dokoupil when he asked how they met.

"We're not talking about this," Hudson said before Belichick could respond.
