Antonio Brown Trolls Shannon Sharpe Over Allegations, Shares Homophobic Skip Bayless Joke
He also said that ESPN and Fox Sports owe "athletes" an apology for reporting on assault accusations.
Antonio Brown has ripped into Shannon Sharpe after a woman filed a $50 million lawsuit accusing the Club Shay Shay host of sexual assault.
Brown, who was accused of rape by his former trainer Britney Taylor in 2019 and faced domestic battery charges in 2022, shared several posts ridiculing Sharpe on X, formerly Twitter.
"At this point... We athletes need a public apology from Fox Sports & ESPN," Brown wrote. "They wanted [to] throw allegations around like crazy amongst athletes... talkin bout n***as to make money. Now these girls givin out actual evidence against they employees [laughing emojis] & don't say nothing."
In further posts, Brown made suggestions about Sharpe's sexual orientation. He retweeted a photo of a promo image for Undisputed that features Sharpe alongside his co-hosts Skip Bayless and Joy Taylor, both of whom were named as defendants in a lawsuit filed by former Fox Sports hairstylist Noushin Faraji.
"'He tried to put it in me during the 3some' - Skip," Brown captioned the image. He also posted a picture of Sharpe in tight clothing that he captioned, "Maybe this what this n***a meant by choke. Clothes so tight... n***a can't breathe."
Other tweets included an AI-generated meme from a racist parody account on X that showed action figures of Sharpe and his accuser, plus an AI-generated image of Sharpe holding up a note that reads, "I only ask for anal because it reminds me of Skip."
There was also a tweet comparing Sharpe to Sexyy Red, with whom he beefed last year after he shared a diss record.
Sharpe has a lot on his plate right now with the lawsuit, but things aren't looking so bright for Brown, either. The former NFL star filed for bankruptcy last year and claimed that he has $50,000 or less in assets.
