Xavier Worthy of the Kansas City Chiefs has filed a lawsuit against his ex-fiancée, Tia Jones, for allegedly extorting and abusing him.

As reported by ESPN, the 21-year-old wide receiver has accused his former partner of scheming to "extort a home, money, cars, and other valuables ... by concocting false stories of domestic violence and leaking the same to the press to professionally and personally assassinate [his] character and reputation." Worthy was arrested earlier this month for allegedly assaulting her, but no charges were filed.

As detailed in the lawsuit documents, Worthy said that he asked Jones to leave his property because of her alleged infidelity. He offered to get her set up in an apartment nearby but she refused his offer.

"Rather than leave and separate amicably, Defendant Jones became enraged and engaged in a series of abusive, extortive efforts against Plaintiff and destroyed his game room, including his gaming desk and console [a PlayStation 5], and the key to his Rolls Royce," reads the lawsuit. "Defendant Jones began physically assaulting Plaintiff by scratching his face and ripping parts of his hair out, causing him pain and injury."

Attached with the filing are photos of the damage Jones allegedly inflicted on his game room and one that showed hair that was torn from his head. Worthy also accused her of stealing $30,000 in cash from his game room and a handgun. He is seeking between $250,000 to $1 million in damages.

Earlier this month, Jones was granted a protective order by a Texas judge following his alleged assault against her. "Ms. Jones has chosen to use her voice to speak up for herself," said her lawyers in a statement shared with ESPN. "In doing so, she looks forward to the facts and circumstances of that night coming to light through the formal legal process and getting the justice that she deserves."

He has since denied the accusations.
