Travis Hunter Gives Endorsement Money to Colorado Teammates
Deion Sanders Jr. revealed that Hunter gives money from Colorado's NIL collective to his teammates.
Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter has had a huge year—and it turns out that he shares the spoils of his successes. Hunter reportedly donates the money he receives from his name, image, and likeness endorsements to his Buffaloes teammates.
During a recent interview on the Zero 2 Sixty podcast, Deion Sanders Jr., the son of Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders, showered Hunter with praise and shared how good of a guy he is behind the scenes.
"You know he received no NIL from the collective?" Sanders casually revealed. "He's one of the biggest donors to the collective, meaning he's paying a lot of other people's NIL on his team. ... He's paying at least 10-15 guy's NILs on the team."
Per On3, Travis Hunter is currently ranked second in NIL valuations at $5.2 million, with only his Colorado teammate Shedeur Sanders bringing in more with $6.2 million in NIL valuations.
In addition to taking home the Heisman, Hunter signed a deal with NerdWallet in September and a shoe deal with Adidas this month.
The 21-year-old cornerback is projected to be a top-five draft pick, but he recently told Complex that his historic season hasn't sunk in yet.
"Young Travis definitely would've never believed in the position I'm right now," he said. "He definitely would've never believed it because I didn't think I was ever going to leave Florida and move to Georgia when I was younger. So definitely never would've believed it, but I would've told 'em to keep going. Stick to your dreams and don't let the outside affect your dreams."
