Travis Hunter’s Fiancée Says She Ignored His DM Because He Had a GF

Travis Hunter's fiancée, Leanna Lenee, has clarified her comments that the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner wasn't her type of guy to date.

On Monday, Lenee uploaded a video on TikTok in which she broke her silence regarding the controversy stemming from her saying Hunter wasn't someone who caught her eye. In the clip, Lenee states that Hunter gave her "permission" to speak on the drama and explains that she left him on read for two months at the start of their talking phase because he was already in a relationship.

"I said I left him in my DMs for two months, and people said, 'Oh, she left him in the DMs until she figured out who he was. That is not true at all. The reason why Travis sat in my DMs for two months is because he DM'd me when he had a girlfriend, and her name was in his bio, so I instantly knew he had a partner."

She continued, "I exited the message, and he sat there until he was single. I don't do home wrecking. I'm not a side piece. I don't stand for any of those things. I support women, so I would never do that to another woman cause I would never want it done to me. So, I ignored him until he was single. That's the real reason he sat in my DM."

Lenee then explained what she meant when she said Hunter wasn't her type. According to Lenee, she wasn't speaking about his "attractiveness" and that she doesn't have a "physical type." Instead, she was referring to how he was trying to cheat on his girlfriend at the time by reaching out to her. She then revealed that she's dated all types of men before hitting it off with Travis.

"I don't care about what people look like or what they can give me. I date people for who they are as a person, how they honor God, and how they treat the people around them and Travis does all of the above," she said. "When I said he wasn't my type, I meant because he was younger than me. I have never dated anyone younger than me, and he had cheated on his girlfriend."

She added, "I don't know if your type is cheaters, but mine isn't. So no, he wasn't my type at first off of those two things, but that didn't discredit the fact that I was attracted to him. That's obviously why I gave him a chance."

Hunter recently addressed the drama during a Twitch livestream, telling all the critics to find something else to investigate, as they won't find anything questionable about his relationship with Lenee.

"You ain't never had no girl so why are y'all talking about me?" Hunter said on a livestream. "Find someone else to talk about… Go talk about your girl. Go find a girl. Go find a life. Stop worrying about what I got going on. I know what I got. My girl been with me for five years. Y'all are just now starting to talk about me… y'all go do something else with y'all life."
