Watch Cam'ron Vent About Joel Embiid 'Committing Treason' With Comments About Team USA and LeBron Being 'Older'
Embiid suggested in a new interview that Team USA features several players who are past their prime.
Cam'ron is calling out Joel Embiid for recent comments the Philadelphia 76ers star made about his fellow players on Team USA.
In an interview with the New York Times, Embiid suggested that other teams in the Olympics are as talented as Team USA, and that many American players, specifically LeBron James, are no longer in their primes.
"You look at the talent that the U.S. has, but there's equal talent on other teams," Embiid said. "And the talent that's on the U.S. team, you also got to understand most of those guys are older. The LeBron now is not the LeBron that was a couple of years ago. So it's a big difference."
He continued, "Everybody would also tell you, and you can see for yourself, the athletic LeBron, dominant that he was a couple of years ago, is not the same that he is now. I think people get fooled by the names on paper. But those names have been built throughout their career, and now they're older. They're not what they used to be."
Cam roasted Embiid on Monday's episode of his and Mase's It Is What It Is show. According to the Harlem rapper, Embiid's teammates need to keep an eye on him, as he's "committing treason" with his remarks.
Cam responded, "I don't know if y'all know what treason is, but this n***a is just about committing treason, my n***a. Yo, my n***a, what are you doing, bro? Even if this is facts, what you saying, why would you say this when the Olympics are about to start?"
Cam continued by joking that Cameroon, where Embiid was born, sent him to ruin Team USA's chances at winning the gold, and said there should be "an immediate investigation, internal affairs."
"Joel Embiib [sic] basically said that bron and the rest of the team is washed," he captioned the clip. "He’s committing treason. Keep a 👀 on this n***a team USA."
