Deion Sanders wants Colorado Buffaloes cornerback Travis Hunter to dust off the criticism of his relationship with Leanna Lenee.

On Friday, Jan. 13, Sanders was a guest on the Tamron Hall Show, where speculation about Hunter and Lenee was addressed. Sanders, who's been twice divorced shared his advice for the 2024 Heisman Trophy winner, telling Hunter, "don't stop."

Coach Prime added that it "hurt" him that Hunter deactivated his Instagram account late last year after backlash towards his fiancée intensified. The controversy began when Leanne appeared to be annoyed while Hunter took pictures with fans at an Adidas pop-up event, followed by her not immediately standing up to cheer for him at his Heisman acceptance.

Some social media trolls pulled up old footage of Lenee explaining that Hunter wasn't "her type" and she took two months to respond to his initial DMs. Elsewhere, an old video surfaced of someone alleged to be Lenee twerking on a man while wearing a risqué schoolgirl outfit.

But Sanders continued with his support for Hunter. "What the enemy wants you to do is stop," he expressed, before making an analogy to deer hunting.

"When you moving, it's hard to get a good shot at you when you keep on moving," Sanders said. "When somebody stays still, now you got a chance to attack, and I hate the stillness of that."

"Keep on moving. Don’t let the enemy get you where you’re still and you’re having a pity party on yourself. ... You have endorsements, you have people that are sponsoring you to talk about their product. We can’t deactivate, we gotta activate right now."

Last month, Hunter defended Lenee during a Twitch stream before temporarily going offline.

"I know what I got. I know my girl. My girl's been with me for five years," Hunter said at the time. "Y'all are just now starting to talk about me and just now starting to be with me. Come on, man."
