Russell Wilson gave a sentimental birthday dedication to his stepson, Future Jr., whom his wife Ciara shares with rapper Future.

The New York Giants quarterback posted an Instagram carousel of Future Jr. spending time with his family, including Wilson and Ciara's younger children, on Monday (May 19). In the montage were baby photos of the now 11-year-old, along with candids of him playing sports and attending games with his parents.

"Happy birthday Future!!! ❤️ We’re so proud of the young man you are! 11 years old and you somehow teach me something new every day!" Wilson captioned the post.

The athlete went on to call Future Jr. a "great son," "best friend" and a "great big brother" to siblings Sienna, Win and Amora. "You are the Light of the World! Daddy and Mommy love you so much!!!" Wilson concluded.

In a separate post, Ciara celebrated her oldest child making the "big 11" with a reel similar to her husband's. Rapper Future has wiped posts from his Instagram, although he's gifted Future Jr. on his birthday before.

But The Wilsons and Future might be on more amicable terms after having issues in the past. Early last year, Wilson appeared on the I Am Athlete podcast and recalled feeling destined to raise Future Jr. as his own son. The NFL star and Ciara married in 2016.

"When I walked in the room and I saw, you know, little Future -- he's nine months at the time or whatever -- he crawls in my lap and it was like, you know, this is going to be my responsibility," said Wilson around the 57:00 mark of the episode.

"I remember leaving that night and God said, saying to me, 'Raising this child–it's going to be your responsibility,'" he continued. "I prayed to God, asking 'Are you sure this is what you want me to do?' He said, 'Son, this is for you.'"
