Jaylen Brown Jokes About 'Hating Ass Broadcast' Over Hot Start Reaction

Brown’s three-point shooting percentage was well below his career average and then he made five straight shots from downtown to start Sunday’s game.

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown was on fire in the first quarter against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday, Nov. 24.

Brown made five three-pointers in the span of two minutes and 22 seconds, leaving the Timberwolves' broadcasting crew in shambles. After knocking down his first attempt, analyst Jim Petersen was quick to mention that Brown has not shot well from beyond the arc this season, which is true.

The three-time NBA All-Star is shooting 32.7 percent from three-point range, below his career average of 36.2 percent, according to ESPN.

On the ensuing Celtics' possession, Brown hit another three-pointer from almost the same spot, to which Petersen responded, "Come on!" The Timberwolves analyst followed that up by mentioning how Brown was shooting "from that spot on the floor, he's 4 of 23 on the season, 17 percent."

The Celtics continued to feed the hot hand and Brown responded with a heat check pull-up three-pointer from even further out. Petersen and play-by-play announcer Michael Grady could not help but laugh.

After Brown's fourth straight three-pointer, all Petersen could muster was "unbelievable."

When he caught wind of the reaction from the Timberwolves' crew to his hot start, Brown reposted earlier today and commented, "Hating ass broadcast lol."
