Skip Bayless Weighs in on LeBron vs. Jordan GOAT Debate on Jubilee's 'Surrounded'
The sports commentator left FS1’s ‘Undisputed’ in August after eight years at the network.
Surrounded may be a dream come true for Skip Bayless.
After spending over two decades debating sports topics every weekday on First Take and more recently, Undisputed, Bayless parted ways with Fox Sports 1 last year. While Skip’s departure allowed him to focus entirely on his podcast The Skip Bayless Show, shouting his takes into the void cannot possibly fill the hole that was left behind by his debate shows. This is where Jubilee Media comes in.
The format of Surrounded serves as a return to form for Skip, as he is surrounded by over 20 NFL and NBA fans eagerly waiting to hear his claim and engage in a debate.
Bayless started off by going back-and-forth with four people about Magic Johnson being the best Los Angeles Lakers player of all-time before moving onto a new, familiar topic: Michael Jordan is the GOAT and laughably better than LeBron James.
"I'm asking you is there one thing that you could definitively say that Michael Jordan did better than LeBron James over the course of his entire NBA career," a debater asked Bayless.
"Yeah, he won better," Bayless responded around the 21-minute mark. "He just won and won and won he was invincible and unbeatable."
Despite being notoriously critical of LeBron in the past, Skip seemed to be more composed and considerate of those siding with LeBron, even conceding that the Lakers star is the best passer and driver in NBA history. Bayless appeared less interested in trolling the person across the table, and more determined to deliver a strong argument to support his claim.
Jubilee successfully showcased a different side of Skip that people can appreciate.
