Chad Ochocinco Shares Hilarious Reason He Only Dates Women With Children

Months after ending his engagement, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has shed more light on his romantic life and the kind of women he prefers to date.

The retired NFL star addressed the topic in a recent episode of Nightcap, his popular podcast series with Shannon Sharpe. At one point during the broadcast, Sharpe shared a Reddit post about a man who allegedly broke up with a woman after learning she had children. Ocho acknowledged many people consider single parents as dating red flags — a notion he completely rejected.

“There’s some people, like me, if you don’t have at least two kids, I’m not even looking at you,” he said during the Feb. 27 episode. “I’m not even looking at you if you ain’t got at least two. That’s just me. That’s just my preference now. Now everybody else? They ain’t rocking like that.”

Sharpe asked his co-host to further explain his position.

“Well, women that don’t have kids, most of the time, 98.9 percent of the time, they never have no goddamn food in the refrigerator,” Ocho said. “And they don’t have no snacks in the pantry, and they always wanna go out to eat, and they wanna put on and give looks. I don’t care about you dressing up. I don’t care about you taking pictures of your food. Do you have snacks in the pantry? Do you have Capri-Suns in your refrigerator? Do you have oatmeal pies? Do you have Zingers? I need nourishment at three in the morning when we have a little activity, horizontal at that. There’s a difference.”

Ocho went on to say he had dated childless women when he was “way younger,” and he was always disappointed to learn they never had food in their homes.

“Go in the refrigerator, refrigerator empty. Ain’t no food,” he recalled.

Ocho said he also likes how single mothers have a more stable and organized lifestyle because they have a responsibility to care for their kids.

“There’s a certain routine and structure of discipline,” he continued, “She always has to feed the child or feed the kids. Man, listen boy, three [or] four the morning and you go up there and get one of the kids’ Lunchables and the Capri-Sun? Man, stop playing with me.”

Shannon offered a defense for the aforementioned Redditor, saying the man knew exactly what kind of relationship he wanted and was dating with intention. Ocho agreed, but doubled down on his stance.

“I date with intention, too,” the father of eight said. “If you got two [kids], we gonna make it three. If you got three, we gonna make it four. If you got four, we gonna make it five.”
