Mase Not Mad at Stefon Diggs' Viral Pink Powder Video: 'He Lives His Life to the Fullest'
The rapper turned sportscaster believes the viral footage of Cardi B's new boo is being blown out of proportion.
Mase and Cam'ron have weighed in on a viral video of Stefon Diggs partying on a boat with bikini-clad women while yielding an unidentified pink substance.
The New England Patriots wide receiver and Cardi B's rumored new boo was hit with criticism once the clip leaked earlier this week, but according to the two rappers the uproar was unwarranted.
"I thought that the video was — it was several things," Mase said during Thursday's (May 29) episode of Come and Talk 2 Me. "He’s a guy that lives to the fullest. I think he’s gonna continue to live his life, as he should."
Cam’rom asked his co-host to elaborate on what "living to the fullest" means.
"Lives to the fullest means Stefon Diggs is gonna do whatever he wants to do," Mase explained, before Cam asked if Mase also approached life with a YOLO mindset. "Not like he does. I live my version. He lives his life to the fullest, everything he wants to do.
"Mine don’t have a pink substance. I’m not on the boat, you know, with three extras. I’m not trying to call the girls 'extras,' but you get what I’m saying. He’s living it to the fullest. He’s a bachelor. He hasn’t tied the knot… He’s still enjoying himself."
Mase, Cam, and co-host Treasure "Stat Baby" Wilson then turned their direction to the aforementioned "pink substance," which some suspected to be tusi — a recreational drug also known as pink cocaine. The hosts emphasized that the powder was never identified and could’ve been anything from juice mix to cotton candy sugar.
"I didn’t see pink cocaine," Mase said. "I just saw a Kool-Aid pack, but I don’t know if it was a Kool-Aid pack. I didn’t get to zoom in on it, so I can’t say what it was… Did you see them sniff anything?"
Wilson said she didn’t see Diggs or any of his fellow revelers consuming the substance, but she had doubts about Mase’s Kool-Aid theory.
"I don’t know if that (pink cocaine) is what he had, but it looks like that," she said.
New England's Mike Vrabel addressed Diggs’ boat video during a press conference on Wednesday (May 28), confirming he and his staff were aware of the footage.
"Obviously, we want to make great decisions on and off the field," Vrabel told reporters. "We’re hoping that with our time here on the field today, that when we don’t have a script and we’re on the call periods, that we’re making great decisions. The message will be the same for all our players, that we’re trying to make great decisions."
Vrabel also revealed that Diggs didn’t attend Wednesday’s organized team activity, unlike most of his teammates. Cam’ron defended Diggs' no-show, pointing out that the off-season activity was voluntary.
"N***as is always trying to make a story about something," he said. “If it’s not mandatory and it’s voluntary and he’s been in the league for years, he knows what he needs to do to be ready for the season. Why are we talking about this?… I didn’t see the pink substance… I was more thinking about, 'I wonder if Cardi B is gonna be mad at this?'"
Cardi, who is in the midst of a divorce from Offset, has been romantically linked to Diggs and was even spotted at the now-viral boat party.
"I know people were saying, 'Should Cardi B be upset about it?'" Wilson asked, referring to Diggs' flirty interactions with the female party-goers. "If that girl wanna go live her best life and be on the boat with the girls shaking their — let her go do that. They can go and have a good time together."
