Social media has been abuzz over the tense situation in which LeBron James confronted Stephen A. Smith about his son, Bronny James.

On Thursday night, LeBron appeared to have gotten into a heated confrontation with Smith during a timeout in the fourth quarter of a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks. It didn't take long for the moment to go viral on social media, with fans adding their own takes to the situation; some were hilarious, and others offered insightful breakdowns.

"Stephen A Smith brought Bronny into his criticisms of LeBron and didn't think he would press him about it," one person tweeted. Another said, "LeBron James pressing Stephen a Smith for doing his job and giving his honest opinion on your sorry ahhh son."

Someone else wrote, "Stephen A is trying to come off as a victim when LeBron did exactly what he was supposed to do as a father…."

There were also various big names who chimed in on the matter such as Jemele Hill, Dave Portnoy, and even LeBron's former teammate Kevin Love.

Smith spoke about the situation on First Take, but he later explained exactly what LeBron had said during an episode of his podcast.

"He was fiery," Smith said. "He approached me during the game and he said stop f***ing with my son. That's my f***ing son. Stop f***ing with my son."

Smith told LeBron, "what?" and he replied, "Nah, nah, nah, nah. Straight up. Man to man. Real talk. Stop f***ing with my son." Smith added that he was willing to have a discussion later, but LeBron wasn't trying to do that, telling him, "Nah, F that. F that. Stop f***ing with my son. That's my son. That's my son."
