Shedeur Sanders is giving up on making music so that he can focus on football.

Sanders revealed his decision on his draft live stream when he was asked if he could perform again. “I just want to ball bro. I just want to ball,” he admitted.

Sanders probably has football on his mind thanks to his shocking slip in the NFL Draft. Originally projected by many to be a first round pick, Sanders slipped all the way to the fifth round where he was drafted by the Cleveland Browns with the 144th overall pick.

After his name was finally called, Sanders danced around to celebrate the moment, posted “Thank you GOD” on X, and m hopped into a pool.

Sanders remained confident throughout the first three rounds of the NFL Draft while waiting for his name to be called — even when someone prank-called him about his draft status.

“We’re in good spirits, of course,” Sanders revealed on his livestream after the end of the third round. “God don’t make mistakes. We have faith in God no matter what. Whatever it is.”

Sanders’ rap career began last year when he dropped his first song, “Perfect Timing.” Earlier this year, he approached college quarterback Cam Ward about getting into the booth together to drop a song, but the latter refused, saying, “I play football.”

Ironically, Ward would be drafted with the first overall pick by the Tennessee Titans.
