Florida Cop Watching Porn Crashes Into Parked Car

A cop from Florida resigned from his position after he crashed into a stopped car waiting for a school bus because he was distracted watching porn on his phone.

According to NBC affiliate WESH, an internal report investigation found that deputy Tristan Macomber had slammed his vehicle into a civilian who had stopped their car for a school bus that had flashing lights. The report stated Macomber initially told officials that the brakes “locked up” on him, which is why he couldn’t stop.

However, Macomber’s body cam footage showed him checking his phone right before crashing into the other car, which caused his airbags to deploy. He can then be seen standing outside the car and picking up his phone before tossing it into his seat while going to check on the other driver.

Macomber did another interview where he told officials that he was checking text messages but later told the Office of Professional Standards that he was looking at pornographic pictures on his phone. The officer wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and was found in violation of the order of using phones on the job and omitting the truth while giving testimony.

Because of the violations, Macomber was facing termination before he decided to resign from his position. In other Florida news, a TikTok user named Noah Galle was recently sentenced to over 12 years in prison for killing six people in a 151 mph crash.

As reported by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, a judge sentenced Galle to 12 and a half years in prison followed by seven years of probation on six counts of vehicular homicide. Galle was only 17 years old when he crashed his BMW at 151 mph into six employees of Pero Family Farms on Jan. 27, 2022.
