Lil Durk Sets 2025 Record for Most RIAA Certifications by a Hip-Hop Artist
The Chicago-born rapper secured 53 new RIAA certifications with hits like, "Broadway Girls," "All My Life," and "What Happened to Virgil."
It’s a good day for Lil Durk fans.
Hours before unleashing his ninth studio album, Deep Thoughts, the Chicago-born rapper secured another impressive career win. He earned 53 new Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certifications — the most for any hip-hop artist in 2025. Durk celebrated the milestone on Instagram, resharing an Alamo Records graphic that featured all his RIAA-certified titles.
The list included full-length projects, like Just Cause Y’all Waited 2(2020), 7220(2022), and Almost Healed (2023). As for singles, Durk’s top-performing tracks were “Broadway Girls” featuring Morgan Wallen (5x multi-platinum) “3 Headed Goat” with Lil Baby and Polo G, 4x multi-platinum, “All My Life” with J. Cole (4x multi-platinum).
According to RIAA, Durk also cemented himself “among the top 50 artists of all time with 52.5 million units.”
The announcement comes as Durk awaits trial for his alleged role in a murder-for-hire plot targeting Quando Rondo. The 32-year-old rapper — legal name Durk Devontay Banks — is accused of orchestrating the scheme that resulted in the death of Quando’s cousin Saviay’a Robinson. He and five others were charged in connection to the fatal shooting in 2022. Athorities accused Durk and five others of planning the alleged attack in retaliation for King Von’s murder.
Durk has pleaded not guilty to the conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire charges. His trial has been postponed to October 14, 2025. He faces life in prison if convicted.
