Drake Says OVO Fest Will Return in Summer 2025
Drake made the announcement during Central Cee's tour stop in Toronto.
Drake has announced his beloved OVO Fest will be making a return in 2025.
On Saturday (May 24), Central Cee held a show at History in Toronto, and the 6 God made a surprise appearance where he gave fans the well-received announcement. While standing in one of the balconies, Drizzy told the crowd he'll see them next season and that OVO Fest will return to the city.
"I'll see you this summer, by the way" Drake said to the voracious crowd. "OVO Fest will be back this year."
Drake then looked at Central Cee and said, "We'll need you there for that."
In addition to making the OVO Fest announcement, Drake also gave fans attending Cee's show a special performance of "Nokia," the smash hit off his collaborative album with PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U.
OVO Fest is usually held on the first weekend in August and coincides with Toronto's Caribana festival, which celebrates Caribbean culture and traditions. The first OVO Fest took place in 2010 and included performances from Jay-Z and Eminem. Other artists who have performed at OVO Fest include The Weeknd, J. Cole, and A$AP Rocky.
The last time Drake held an OVO Fest was in 2022, when he reunited with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj. Canadian heavyweights Kardinal Offishall and Nelly Furtado also performed.
