Joe Rogan Uncomfortable After Mentalist Correctly Guesses His ATM PIN Code: 'I Don't Like That'
Mentalist Oz Pearlman left Rogan speechless after he was able to correctly guess the podcaster's ATM PIN.
Joe Rogan was left visibly uncomfortable after mentalist Oz Pearlman correctly guessed the podcaster's PIN code for his bank account.
Pearlman, 43, sat down for an interview with Rogan on an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience this week, using the interview as an opportunity to showcase his approach to magic and how he's able to make educated guesses to convince people he can read their minds.
"Would your wife know your Social Security Number?" he asked Rogan, 57, tasking him with coming up with a number that not even the person closest to him would know.
"Would your wife know your ATM PIN code?" he said, raising the stakes.
"No," Rogan replied, looking increasingly skeptical and concerned.
"Do not tell me your real ATM PIN code," Pearlman said. "Make up a fake four-digit number off the top of your head."
Rogan came up with a fake PIN code, 2020, which Pearlman then wrote on a small whiteboard.
"Statistically, men will lie bigger, women smaller," he said. "Men lie by saying things are bigger, right? No, shocker. ... Right off the jump for me, that means that your first number... is smaller. That's what most people do when they're rushed."
Pearlman suggested that if Rogan was given more time to come up with a number, he would have settled on something different than 2020, but Rogan disagreed.
Shortly after, Pearlman said he "got a hit" and figured out what Rogan's real ATM PIN code is. He wrote the number down on his whiteboard and showed it to the podcaster, who was speechless.
"How'd I do, Joe? Is that your ATM PIN code?" Pearlman asked.
"Yeah... that's weird," Rogan replied. "I'm skeptical because I got that PIN code in the mail ... Yeah, I don't like that."
Pearlman joked that Rogan will need to call the bank and ask how he managed to pull that off.
Pearlman, who often performs under the name "Oz the Mentalist," became known for his magic after winning third place in the 2015 season of America's Got Talent. He has been a guest on The Howard Stern Show, plus appeared on ABC World News Tonight, ESPN, and the CNBC series Power Lunch.
