Pete Davidson Plans to Have All His Tattoos Removed by 40, Calls Them 'Dumbest' Decision
The comedian said it takes roughly "seven visits" for tattoo design removal.
Pete Davidson plans to get rid of his "dumbest" tattoos, which he revealed during a visit to Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Five minutes into the interview, which aired on Thursday (Feb. 6), Meyers asked Davidson about his previously mentioned tattoo removal plans, which the Dog Man star confirmed. Davidson previously told People in 2021 that he wanted the tattoos to be removed by the time he was 30. Last month, he told Today that the decision to remove his 100-plus tattoos was made after becoming sober, and as Davidson told Meyers, he plans to finish what he started.
"When I’m 40, it’ll all be gone," the former Saturday Night Live star said. "Like the chest and back."
To get rid of each design, Davidson said that it takes "at least seven visits," while black and white tattoos are "easier" in comparison to colored ones.
On which ones he was happiest to remove, Davidson answered "all of them" and that he originally got them done before entering rehab.
"I got a collection of cartoons smoking blunts," he said. "A Muppet smoking a blunt and the Tootsie Pop owl smoking a blunt–which is weird ‘cause I wasn’t even old enough to be around for that cartoon, that commercial."
Among one of his equally cringy moments was Davidson's SNL audition, which was documented in NBC and Peacock special SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night.
"Lorne's there, [Steve] Higgins, maybe one or two other...Like, five people. But they're blacked out," Davidson said. "You can't see them. So, you're doing your whole act to no one. And once in a while, you'll hear like, 'heh.' And that's about all I got."
