Tia Mowry Says She’s Finally Comfortable Being Single: ‘I’m Not Scared Anymore’

The actress divorced actor Cory Hardict in 2023 after fifteen years of marriage, and often speaks about being unpartnered. .
On Friday,Mowry posted an Instagram reel capturing behind-the-scenes enjoyment of her personal and professional life. Some moments showed Mowry spending time with her children, attending red carpet events and even traveling. "Doing everything but worrying about being single in my 40s," she wrote alongside the video.
Accompanying the post was a lengthy caption about the "stigma" that surrounds single women as they age. "There’s this stigma that we shouldn’t be single in our 40s, like thriving on your own isn’t an option," Mowry began. "At one point, I thought the idea of being ‘alone’ was scary… but now that I’m here? I’m not scared anymore."
"I'd be lying if I said I’ve never felt lonely, but it happens. Because I love LOVE!" she continued. "But that’s not the only thing we should measure our happiness on, or the only thing that defines us. And we definitely shouldn’t stress over whatever timeline has been forced on us."
Mowry concluded by inviting her followers to enjoy the "journey of life" and know that "we’re all going to be OK" no matter what age.
On her reality show Tia Mowry: My Next Act, the actress documented herself coming to terms with her split from Hardict and sought advice from fellow divorced actresses like Jackeé Harry and Essence Atkins. But Mowry and Hardict appear to be cordial, with the former All-American: Homecoming actor still considering his ex-wife to be "family."
