As fans await the latest update on ASAP Rocky’s long-gestating (and potentially Morrissey-featuring) new album, he’s been busy bolstering his filmography with prominent roles in no shortage of high-profile projects.

Wednesday, following the recent release of the most in-depth look yet at his turn in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest alongside Denzel Washington, A24 rolled out a new trailer for the acclaimed If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, led by Rose Byrne. As fellow cinephiles are already well aware, the film, directed by Mary Bronstein, was a big hit at this year’s Sundance. Reviews are strong, which is also the case for Spike's Akira Kurosawa reimagining.

The synopsis for If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, which earned Byrne the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance award at the 2025 Berlin International Film Festival, promises a story about a woman trying to meet the challenges of her kid’s “mysterious illness.” This problem is exacerbated in fine form by a husband who’s nowhere to be found, plus a peculiar relationship with a therapist.

If I Had Legs I'd Kick You is out this October. See the full trailer up top, plus the newly revealed poster below.

As for Highest 2 Lowest, you can expect it in theaters starting Aug. 15 before it's taken to Apple TV+ in September.

“Don’t sleep on ASAP,” Lee recently said of Rocky’s performance in the film, the director’s fifth with Denzel. “In this film, Denzel and ASAP go toe to toe.”

Rose Byrne, meanwhile, can currently be seen in a new season of Platonic, co-starring Seth Rogen. It's also fucking great.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
