Jon Hamm Grabs Ball During Knicks and Pacers Game, Annoys Tyrese Haliburton
The 'Mad Men' actor snagged the flying ball while Haliburton tried to retrieve it.
Jon Hamm got his head in the game while sitting courtside during the Indiana Pacers v. New York Knicks match-off.
On Wednesday (May 21), the Your Friends & Neighbors actor attended Game 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
During the second quarter, Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton tried to grab the ball from Knicks small forward OG Anunoby. But when Anunoby tossed the ball, it landed right in Hamm's hands, and it confused Haliburton when Hamm held onto it.
The Pacers star also appeared to ask a referee for fan interference after Hamm accidentally pulled the defensive move.
A close-up showed the two-time Golden Globe winner laughing about the moment with the person next to him. The Pacers finished strong with a close 138-135 win.
The game was a historic comeback for the Pacers, but the Knicks have a chance to bounce back during a second face-off on Friday (May 23) for Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
While speaking postgame, Haliburton said he knew "for sure" that his final shot would be a three-pointer since he had a "focus" on winning. The player finished the game with a celebratory choke signal, which his father, John Haliburton, hilariously replicated at a sports bar watch party.
