DeMarcus Cousins is baffled about the treatment LeBron James is getting for confronting Stephen A. Smith regarding comments made about Bronny James.

On Friday (March 7), Cousins hopped on his X page to speak about getting bashed for doing the same thing LeBron did toward Smith in defense of his family. Cousins had recalled a time when he was heavily criticized for confronting a reporter for speaking on his family and claimed he was waiting to get his "lick back."

"It's cool when they do it , it's a problem when I do it…🤔I was called a villain, bully, thug when I confronted a reporter for speaking on my family," said Cousins. "Got suspended fined and eventually traded. I Look forward to getting my lick back! 😌.”

The incident with Cousins happened in 2016 when he was a member of the New Orleans Pelicans and had an issue with a writer who released an article about his brother. Cousins confronted the journalist and was fined $50,000 by the league.

Cousins' comment comes after Smith revealed what LeBron had said to him during a game between the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks. According to Smith, LeBron approached him with hostile energy and immediately told him to leave Bronny alone.

"He was fiery," Smith said during his podcast. "He approached me during the game and he said, ’Stop f***ing with my son. That's my f***ing son. Stop f***ing with my son.’"

Smith told LeBron, "What?" and he replied, "Nah, nah, nah, nah. Straight up. Man to man. Real talk. Stop f***ing with my son." Smith added that he was willing to have a discussion later, but LeBron wasn't trying to do that, telling him, "Nah, F that. F that. Stop f***ing with my son. That's my son. That's my son."
