The song appears on Tyler's ninth album, 'DON'T TAP THE GLASS.'

Tyler, The Creator gave fans his second album in less than a year with Monday morning’s release of DON’T TAP THE GLASS, the 10-track follow-up to his acclaimed CHROMAKOPIA, Complex’s pick for the second-best album of 2024.

Hours after the latest from Tyler hit streaming, the experience was expanded thanks to the timely drop of an official video for “STOP PLAYING WITH ME.” Fittingly, the video, directed by Tyler, features cameos from the following: LeBron James, Maverick Carter, Pusha T, and Malice.

“Caught the plane with Mav, Bron there too,” Tyler raps in the second verse of the new track, the video for which can be found in full up top.

Integral to DON’T TAP THE GLASS, as detailed in a note to fans from Tyler himself, is an intentional pushback against a widespread aversion to letting loose in public. Put another way, Tyler wants everyone to fucking move while tapping into the DON’T TAP ethos.

“This album was not made for sitting still,” Tyler, who also advised listening to the album “only at full volume,” told fans Monday morning. “Dancing, driving, running—any type of movement is recommended to maybe understand the spirit of it.”

Leading up to the Monday morning DTTG drop was a feature from Tyler on Clipse’s first new album together in over 15 years, Let God Sort Em Out. The song, “P.O.V.,” finds Tyler referencing a would-be lawsuit from an unnamed individual. Minutes after the track’s release, Tyler shared an X update urging fans not to “run with a narrative” about the lyrics, noting the Ines were inspired by “an old friend” who threatened him with a lawsuit “over a feature they gave me.”
